Ministers whose congregations fall below the membership criteria for two consecutive years are asked to voluntarily remove themselves from the group. Ministers whose congregations have fallen below the membership criteria may return to the group at such time as their congregations again meet the criteria for membership.

Ministers who are removed from fellowship or who have had their fellowship suspended are not expected to attend the annual retreat though they may request the services of the SMOLUUC Chaplain.

Membership removal also assumes leaving the list serve.
